Our Veterinarians

Dr. Arthur L. Greene

Owner, Primary Veterinarian

Dr. Arthur Greene was always fascinated by puzzles while growing up, and he adored the company of any animal he happened to come across. As he got older, his love of biology started to blossom. What better way to combine his passion for science and his love of pets, he thought, than by working in the veterinary field? Dr. Greene’s dream never wavered—now, he’s the owner and primary veterinarian here at Homestead Animal Hospital!

Originally from New York City, Dr. Greene obtained his DVM degree from a university in Italy before returning stateside to begin his career. He joined the Homestead Animal Hospital family in the summer of 2001, and has been caring for the area’s pets and animal parents here ever since. Dr. Greene is particularly fond of using the clinic’s therapeutic services—including the hyperbaric chamber and therapeutic laser—to change patients’ lives for the better. He’s especially proud when he’s able to help therapy animals who in turn provide services for special-needs children.

Dr. Greene is married and has two wonderful children. The family shares their home with Gracie, a miniature Schnauzer; a young Chihuahua named Abel who was born without front limbs; a Calico cat who goes by Cali; Tucker the Siamese mix; a pair of parakeets; and several tropical fish.

When he isn’t spending time with family or tending to pets’ needs here at the hospital, Dr. Greene enjoys skiing—he had some of his best runs in the Italian Alps during his time in veterinary school!—and also likes camping, quilting, and antiquing.

Dr. Lindsey Hebblethwaite

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Lindsey Hebblethwaite grew up in a small city in northern Alberta, Canada, where her family always kept dogs and cats around the house. She also visited her grandparents’ farm regularly to help with the animals there—for Dr. Hebblethwaite, it wasn’t hard to develop a passion for pet care! A career in the world of veterinary medicine simply made sense.

Dr. Hebblethwaite was only 14 years old when her veterinary journey began—it was then that she started working at a local veterinary clinic as a kennel worker before moving her way up to a receptionist position. Eventually, she became a Veterinary Assistant and was able to gain crucial hands-on experience before entering veterinary school. Dr. Hebblethwaite attended the University of Alberta in Edmonton for three years of undergraduate studies before earning her veterinary degree in 2008 at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon.

Dr. Hebblethwaite worked in a rural mixed-animal clinic in Alberta for a year before moving to Sherwood Park and serving pets at a hospital there for two more years. Next, she moved to France for a number of years, serving as a relief veterinarian for clinics in the United Kingdom and Canada during her stay, before relocating to southern Florida with her husband in the summer of 2016. Dr. Hebblethwaite joined the Homestead Animal Hospital family shortly afterward and has been helping the area’s four-legged friends here ever since!

Medically, Dr. Hebblethwaite enjoys preventative care, behavior work, and feline medicine. She’s also passionate about client education and loves to help pet owners take a more proactive role in their animal companions’ healthcare.

In her time away from work, Dr. Hebblethwaite enjoys knitting, reading, hiking, and traveling whenever the opportunity presents itself. She and her husband, Logan, share their lives with two cats at home: Duder is obsessed with food and uses his Siamese half to voice his concerns at mealtime; Onyx can sit on command and catch treats in mid-air.
